The Rotary Club of Madras has conferred the lifetime accomplishment accolade (2009-10) to Padma Shri Dr. Kamal Haasan today (November 17th, 2009) for his outstanding addition to the association through his films. The action began at 1 pm at the Taj Connemara Hotel, Chennai. The accolade was handed over to the Ulaganayagan by Rtn George Cherian, President of the Rotary Club. Those present at the area were Rtn. Aditya Agarwal, Hony. Secy, Rtn, Vivek Harinarain. Director Vocational Service, Ms. Sudha Shivakumar, Mr. G. Ramkumar, and Mr. G. Thiagarajan.
